For those of you who didn’t know, Google had an event yesterday, among the announcements were Android 4.3, Chromecast, and the new Nexus 7.

In this particular article, I will be sharing my thoughts on the New Nexus 7, since we’ve already covered the Chromecast, and Android 4.3 mostly added developer features.

So, the new nexus 7. I won’t bore you with the specs (see them here), although I will tell you that from the first gen, it is thinner (and lighter), now has a back facing camera for all of your tablet photo taking needs, and comes running Android 4.3.

What are my thoughts on the improved hardware? I think that for an extra $30, an improved tablet overall is what you get, which seems like a really good deal. If you’re using a first gen Nexus 7, thats fine, because it is a great tablet, but the 2nd gen is slightly more expensive but definitely looks like it’s worth the price.

I’ll be getting my hands on the tablet as soon as it’s available in stores, so stick around to see that!
